Music - Blog reflection

 On Friday 3rd March 2023 we had to perform 30 seconds on stage in front of the class for music it wasn't just about seeing what instrument we could play it was more of seeing if you could have the courage to stand up and perform !. Although everything happening i could start of with telling you how i felt i felt not nervous i had the confiedence because we knew what we were doing and yeah simple. We went off to a great start but our team wasn't cooperating overall it was good and felt weird afterwards. that was all done.

In Art I have learnt how to do a Kowhaiwhai and i used Tongan patterns because i don't really know but other wise thats it.

Text Title - Tomorrow when the war began

Author - John Marsden

A group of teens that go camping at a place called “Hell”  Only to find that when they returned home, things just weren't the way it was prior to them going camping.

 

Seven friends planned to take a 2 day camping trip in the outbacks of Australia but besides their usual camping activities during those 2 days, what was waiting for them back in civilization was something far beyond their control.

Nearing the end of their camping trip, they packed up and decided to make a head start on the long drive back home. 

Ellie being the first of the friends to go home, Just as they were about to go inside back out and told her friend the house had been ransacked and her father and mother was nowhere to be seen. They decided to stop by each of their homes and realized their homes were also ransacked and no one was in sight, this set an uneasy feeling amongst them and all they could do was cry and wonder why this had happened. During this time they noticed soldiers forcing people to walk but to where exactly was still unknown, so they decided to follow them.

Observing the situation from afar the friends decided that the best option for now is to gather all essentials, retreat back to the place where they were camping and make a plan on how they were going to try to help their loved ones.

As they settled back into the camping site, coming up with a plan whilst everyone was in emotional stress caused a lot of disagreements between them Ellie being the one who took charge of the situation decided they needed to go back and save their families everyone except Kevin agreed, he was in flight mode which was understandable considering the circumstances they were under. Eventually Kevin decided to stay with the group and the set out to try rescue their loved ones,

Despite the difficulty of this rescue mission the group of friends managed to execute their plan and save their loved ones.

What I enjoyed most about this novel was the fact that even though they were just ordinary teens, they managed to work as a team despite disagreements. Their goal was to Rescue their loved ones.

My two favorite characters in this novel is Fiona and Ellie, Reason being is that although Fiona had no knowledge of how to be a camper due to her wealthy status she still stuck it out and gave everything a go same goes for when they were on their rescue mission whereas Ellie who came from an average background had more knowledge of the outdoors and the ablity to think and act fast during their rescue mission, like the part where she took on the role of leadership and how she managed to kill 3 soldiers with a petrol bomb.

This novel is very well written, had my undivided attention throughout each chapter.

Topic Reflection

 

This is my reflection on what i have been learning about the differences and similarities of North Korea and Zealand. Honestly it is very shocking because North Korea has very strict laws and the way they have been living is very poor unlike Zealand we should be grateful we are living in a free country. That's it ! not very informative but that should be enough !

10M SST Human rights - Ana havea

 

  Kia oraa! For Social Studies we have been learning about Human rights and as you can see i explained everything and also my understanding in the video. These are my own opinions about why we should have freedom in this world. Because i see that most people share their thoughts but somehow they get arrested for having the right to speak. There should be freedom amongst other's like slavery! Well the Big problem in this world is 'RACISIM' and 'COVID'. Imgaine if Unvacinated people are treated like black people and Vacinated people are the White people, See Black people didn't get much back then and White people were like treated like they were more special. My honest opinion is that we should just have PEACE in this world and have FREEDOM for all and we should all be treated the same even if we are different!
